Frequently asked questions-

Q1- Why this oil is expensive as compared to regular peanut oils available in market?

A1- Firstly, this oil is extracted from sustainably grown groundnut seeds only. Secondly, regular peanut oil for cooking is extracted using the 'solvent extraction method' in which petroleum distillates are used to extract the oils from seeds. This process extracts 97-99% of the oils from seeds making them cheap. ASAVI's wood pressed peanut oil for cooking is extracted using the traditional 'kohlu/cold pressed/wood pressed' method in which only 50-60% of the oil is extracted. Residue is used as animal feed at our farms. It is single filtered only retaining most of the nutrition in it.

Q2- Why have you used plastic bottles instead of glass bottles?

A2- To avoid spillage/loss at this early stage of the business. We intend to use glass bottles in future.
